soux
SOUx at home is the International School of Architecture for Children7 to 12 years, the first in Italy, the second in the world.

It grew out of the experience of the one in Favara, near Agrigento, within Farm Cultural Park, one of the most influential cultural centres in the contemporary cultural world, whose model has been adopted in some thirty Italian cities including Milan, Genoa, Turin, Bologna, Florence, Savona, Verona, Asti, Pescara, Bari, Taranto, Cagliari and from the academic year 2023-2024 also Rieti with the involvement of architects, designers, artists and other local, national and international professionals. The name of the school pays homage to one of the greatest contemporary architects, Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto.
WHAT IS SOUx
Innovative workshop project specialising in activities related to architecture, landscape, environment, engineering, urban planning, design, art, technology, sustainability, and building creative, conscious and responsible communities.

The School stimulates creativity, planning and action; it educates in the values of welcome, participation, tolerance, solidarity, inclusion, of social commitment to be proactive and decisive for an improvement of society, public space, the city and the territory; to respect and protect common goods, the historical heritage and open spaces.
WHY SOUx
The workshops are structured with a didactic methodology based on learning by doing and with a playful and interactive approach; they foster knowledge through action, direct involvement and the development of skills and attitudes, making learners protagonists of their own learning process and promoters of initiatives for the city through didactic outings on the city and provincial territory; public events such as exhibitions of the works produced.
WHEN SOUx
Workshops with children take place every Saturday from 16:45 to 18:45. The workshops are run by the team and local professionals, and once a month by a nationally and/or internationally renowned external lecturer.
WHERE SOUx
The workshops take place in the artistically and architecturally significant historic Sala delle Colonne, located in the ancient cloister of Sant'Agostino in Piazza Mazzini. Some workshops are held in other historical buildings or in open spaces.
